A lifelong animal lover, former Registered Veterinary Nurse, and the very proud owner of Luna’s Play Date.
Animals, especially dogs, have always been at the heart of everything I do. After spending over 10 years working as a registered Veterinary Nurse, caring for pets when they were at their most vulnerable, I knew one thing for sure — dogs deserve to feel safe, loved, and happy at all times, not just when they’re at the vets.
That dream has finally become a reality with our beautiful new farm, where dogs will be able to run, play, relax, and truly enjoy themselves while their owners are at work or away enjoying a well-earned holiday.
Meet the Family
Luna
Luna is our lively Staffy, full of energy, love, and cuddles. She adores other dogs and could play fetch all day long. Luna came to us while working in the vets, where she was very poorly and nursed back to health — once she recovered, she became part of the family for good. She brings endless joy and enthusiasm to life on the farm.
Lenny
Lenny is our Staffy cross and resident goofball. Once a stray, his brown puppy eyes and ginger eyebrows made it impossible not to take him home. A true mummy’s boy, he loves fetch, cuddles, and anything involving food. His playful nature keeps the farm full of laughter.
Lola
Lola is our white cat and very much the boss. Our first-ever adoption from the vets, she now spends her days sleeping in front of the fire and quietly running the farm. Calm, confident, and completely in charge.
Jordan
Behind the scenes (and often covered in mud, dog hair, or oil) is my very dedicated husband. He’s just as dog-mad as I am… whether that was by choice or force, is still up for debate! He’s the fixer, the builder, the caretaker, and the man making sure everything will run smoothly so the dogs have the best possible environment — and probably the one sneaking them extra fuss when he thinks no one’s looking.
Why Luna’s Play Date?
Luna’s Play Date was named after the dog who started it all. Luna’s love for other dogs, her playful spirit, and her journey from being so poorly to thriving inspired us to create a place where
dogs can play, feel safe, and be cared for like family.
From rescue stories to muddy paws, this family is why we’re building a doggy day care and kennels that will feel just like home.
